Not so much an issue as a comment. This project works equally well for connecting to postgresql databases by changing the connection string. It really could be huginn_sql_agent as there isn't anything specific to mysql2 in the code that I saw other than the name.

Just to be sure - Is there support for Liquid template when creating the SQL query? I think having access to source event variables when executing the query would be a great feature especially when using Update query statements.

Connection will fail when you have a password with special characters. Code should use urlencode before executing the command,

Use https://www.urlencoder.org/ in the meantime to manually encode your passwords etc.
