Hi!

I just spend some time playing around with the repo.

The #app-root div doesn't exist in the DOM at the moment of appending the output of app.start() to the body. Which inevitably breaks the bootstrapping of the app because document.querySelector can't find it.

So to be able to even render anything I had to remove the argument from app.start().
However, that code seems to work on the live website, so I'm not sure what to do about this.

Is there something I'm missing?

As per choojs/choo#201 (comment) here's some stuff I think that needs to happen for this site to be ✨ great ✨ This might be a bit less structured than I'd like, but hopefully it'll give people enough to go on to implement. Any help on this is more than welcome!

• create a "links" section similar to the header in the choo repo; providing links to other interesting pages (e.g. repo,
• create a separate page for "awesome" - if we could emulate https://pull-stream.github.io/ that'd be amaze ✌️
• animate the little train, https://twitter.com/choochoobot with parallax would be so so good
• animate the little octocat to be like this octocat: http://hughsk.io/tap-to-start/
• create an API / concepts page where we can explain how the concepts and implementation work
• perhaps move the lil graph to the concepts page
• add the philosophy section to the main page
• perhaps auto generate content based off the github readme
• create an auto-build process whenever the main choo repo updates to build and redeploy this repo

I think the goal of the landing page is to get people stoked about choo. Make them feel the philosophy, put down the slight "hey we're very much us" vibe, and provide enough grips for people to proceed where they need to go. How does that sound?

If we're gonna push the pedal down on marketing, we might as well do it well.

How 'bout we approach this using personas; approach choo and tooling using
personas.

• designers: "it's just HTML + CSS you know and love, with a minimal amount
  extra knowledge needed"
• engineers: "efficient rendering, functional data structures and smooth
  refactoring"
• tinkerers: "great tooling, and fast to get started - hack out prototypes
  faster than ever before"

for at least a few seconds so yeah if we use the same feeling we might get
people to actually be more interested in choo, which is like also a nice thing.
