touchpad as tablet

There are already many tablets out there with big screen. It would be extremely
useful if besides the touchpad there was a wacom "tablet" like functionality,
so that the default mode is drawing. Currently there is only support for drag
and drop through trackball. But not many tablets have those.

Thanks

Android 4.2 gesture typing doesn't work, neither does voice typing

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Use a device with Android 4.2 such as a Nexus 4 or 7 whose stock keyboard
has a swype-like feature.
2. Try to type on the keyboard by sliding you finger, or hit the mic button on
the keyboard and speak
3. Nothing happens.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

The expected output is for the swiped word to be typed as soon as the keyboard
detects it, or for the speech to be typed out, since android normally
transcribes it.

Using Gmote 2.0.7 on a Nexus 4 running Android 4.2.1 and Ubuntu 12.10 on the
computer.

Please provide any additional information below.

Also the control key and arrow keys on the popular Hacker's Keyboard android
app doesn't work.

The gmote server I'm running is the 2.0.0 on Ubuntu linux maverick meerkat
10.10.

A difference between the vlc 1.0.x installed on the previous Ubuntu release
(10.04 lucid lynx) and the one I have (vlc 1.1.5) is the handler
libvlc_media_new_location() instead of the libvlc_media_new() that the old one
has.

Server crashes all the time

What steps will reproduce the problem?
Usually the server crashes after I have hit the skip button quickly a few times
in a row to skip a couple minutes. It's pretty random, and sometimes it happens
without any provocation from me, but .mkv files have a high probability of
causing it to crash when trying to skip.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect that when I hit the skip button four or five times, it will fast
forward one to two minutes. Instead, the server crashes and I get a "report to
microsoft" message.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Newest gmote server (I downloaded it the other day again, just to make sure
that wasn't the problem) on WinXP SP3

ogg extension

-------
snippet from email
-------

Hi

ogg is listed under video but not music. Thus ogg music fails to
play. Moving it to the music list fixes the problem. It must be
taken out of video in order to work, else it tries to play ogg music
as video and fails. Xiph.Org suggest ogg be used only for audio
(vorbis) anyway.

Also ogv should be included in the Video section for ogg theora. oga
(which is the recommended file extension for ogg vorbis) should be
added to Music.

My tests where done in Linux and VLC .9.9a

Thanks for the great app and for supporting Linux!

Additional navigator layouts?

Gmote works great as a touchpad and keyboard, but the default navigator / media
controller is not great for certain apps. It'd be great to have similar
buttons to e.g. the Apple remote, that is, directional arrows, "OK" (Enter),
and "Back" (either Escape or Backspace, depending on the app). This would make
Gmote ideal for controlling apps like Hulu Desktop.
