I am having a problem that the images in Firefox on the product page are not loading, only when the whole page is reloaded. This problem does not excist in Chrome.

Thanks for making this module.

I've installed it and now when I go to a product page and click the small thumbnail images under the title: MORE VIEWS, that image clicked doesn't open into the large product image any more.

When I remove the extension the functionality works again.

I'm running Magento 1.9.3.10 on PHP 7.2

I switched to using OpenMage
OpenMage is Magento1 supported by a small community committed to optimizing and updating Magento 1.

Many Magento1 modules work perfectly on OpenMage and among them is yireo's WebP.

By testing the performance of the sites (OpenMage, but also Magento1) Google page speed and GTMetrix report that webp images can be further optimized and compressed.

The question is: can it be done? if yes, how with your form?

the cwebp has been installed successfully

and the PHP Version 7.2.26

The Webp module has been enabled

But the extension doesn't work fine

It doesn't seem to convert category page images? Am I missing something?

The google Page Speed Test and Web.dev don't recognize the webp images. So its uncertain whether they're giving websites SEO "credit" for faster images.

Does-it mean that it transform any entity type's images ? From product, categories, static_bloc, cms_page, blog ?
