Hello,
Thank you for this very useful extension. I appreciate your work. By default, when copying with line numbers, the line numbers have a colon : Is there a way (or setting) to enable a period instead?
Currently:
1:
2:
3:
Desired goal:
1.
2.
3.
Thank you
Success message shows but copied text does not include number or file name.

It is not working here. VS Code says the extension is running in the remote, so I believe it is copying on the remote clipboard machine and the clipboard is not updated locally.
Korean comment is not copied well in this plugin
Hello,
It looks like you used to maintain a version of this plugin for atom.
https://atom.io/packages/atom-copy-with-line-numbers
https://github.com/yassh/atom-copy-with-line-numbers
Any chance you could re-instate this repo? I'd be fine with the old code even if it has some compatibility issues with the current version of atom.

And without code, just line number, like github
vscode-copy-with-line-numbers/src/extension.ts
Lines 6 to 8 in fe74f7d
And if this plugin can detect comment like this pattern fe74f7def9c75b6a4120b2df3c97e655e84f12c6/src/extension.ts#L6-L8
and mouse hover show the code, that's great.
You should probably mention in the README.md that xclip is a requirement on Linux for this extension.
If you copy and paste text directly from vscode to a google docs, the document keeps his syntax highlighting:
But when copying with this extension, the syntax highlighting is lost:

This extension does not rely on the standard Clipboard.writeText which seems to cause issues :
It looks like simply ditching "copy-paste": "^1.3.0"
and calling the proper vscode function would fix a few issues but this project seems kind of dead...
Simple fix :
vscode-copy-with-line-numbers/src/copy-with-line-numbers.ts
Lines 67 to 70 in fe74f7d
await vscode.env.clipboard.writeText(str);
will be great. i think should be easy for you
Hi, it would be great to have an option to paste copied lines with numbering starting from 1, e.g. after copying code:
67: copy(str, () => {
68: const showSuccessMessage = vscode.workspace.getConfiguration('copyWithLineNumbers')
69: if (showSuccessMessage) vscode.window.showInformationMessage('Copied!')
70: })
I would like to paste it as:
1: copy(str, () => {
2: const showSuccessMessage = vscode.workspace.getConfiguration('copyWithLineNumbers')
3: if (showSuccessMessage) vscode.window.showInformationMessage('Copied!')
4: })
