I plan to make a ROS2-wrapper on top of the existing Yahboom Arduino-Balance-Car firmware/arduino.

Goal/Objective💡: To run ROS2 Nav2 & SLAM on the Arduino-Balance-Car :-)

My questions/suggestions:

1. Have someone made any low level serial-integration in-between MCU/Arduino and SBC (Like a Raspberry PI 3 via USB)?
   I know there is an existing integration, using this serial-interface, for the provided Android App (Via Bluetooth). But does it exist any corresponding PC/SBC - interface/wrapper, Preferably in Python3 (but C ++ also works well)
2. With a bit of luck - We can leave the MCU / Arduino code unchanged. And rely on the existing serial interface (So no need for micro-ROS or ROS1-rosserial).
3. Is there of any interest for Yahboom to cooperate/assist in providing such a ROS2-integration for the Arduino-Balance-Car?
   I need support with the serial-interface... The ROS2-stuff I can do my self😎.
4. Does this make sense..?
