The author of the term crate does not have time to maintain it and is looking
for a new maintainer.

Some maintained alternatives you can potentially switch to instead, depending
on your needs:

• crossterm
• termcolor
• yansi

Rusoto has been moved into maintenance mode nearly a year ago. AWS released their own official rust SDK, but do not support sts, yet.
The rusoto code in fastsar should be replaced with the official SDK as soon as it supports sts.

beef::Cow lacks a Sync bound on its Send trait allowing for data races

Affected versions of this crate did not have a T: Sync bound in the Send impl for Cow<'_, T, U>. This allows users to create data races by making Cow contain types that are (Send && !Sync) like Cell<_> or RefCell<_>.

Such data races can lead to memory corruption.

The flaw was corrected in commit d1c7658 by adding trait bounds T: Sync and T::Owned: Send to the Send impl for Cow<'_, T, U>.

The code makes some assumptions that only hold true in a Unix-ish environment (e.g. paths).
These parts should be replaced with OS-independent solutions so it can be compiled for Windows.

Currently fastsar will always require a valid config file. Even when account & role is provided as arguments, so there is technically no information required from the config file anymore.
Worse, the account even has to be in the config file for it to work.

Refactoring this might create a conflict with how the history is implemented, as it will want to save the account name from the last selected account (which we would not have without the config file).

stdweb is unmaintained

The author of the stdweb crate is unresponsive.

• wasm-bindgen
• js-sys
• web-sys

Create Github action that runs on pushed tags that 1) publishes to crates.io 2) builds for all supported architectures and 3) creates a Github release with the binaries.
