mod-installer's Issues

UModTld by UberFox Error on installation

When you click install, this is the error message:

DOWNLOAD: https://www.moddb.com/downloads/mirror/172406/115/c68a2d3c87d4393cff25becaec41eedb
ERROR: org.springframework.web.client.HttpClientErrorException: 410 Gone
FINISHED

Thanks

Duplicate mods being displayed in mod installer

Map tweaks, cooking tweaks, and faster action redux are also displayed as duplicates. At this point I'm not sure what link I pasted in but it was a collection of mods seemingly from AlexTheRegent
Thanks!

Missing executable

download (3)
I've done everything the same as i did on version 6.3, but now i'm lacking an executable for the installer for some reason

NullPointerException on install or update

Version 0.61.0 of Mod-Installer is giving the following log output when I attempt to install or update mods after updating AssetLoader to 3.0.0:

ERROR: java.lang.NullPointerException
FINISHED

Updating AssetLoader to 3.0.0 was successfull, but I then tried to update the Better-Night-Sky and got the above log message.
I attempted to update Better-Night-Sky after restarting Mod-Installer, but got the same message.
I tried uninstalling Better-Night-Sky, and that was successful, but when I tried to install it again, I got the same error message.
When I tried to install a mod I'd never used before, Wooden statuettes (which has no dependencies), I received the same NullPointerException.

I am using Steam and TLD is at 1.44, patched with ModLoaderInstaller.

Problem installing

I downloaded the mod loader, so I have a mods folder, but I don't have a executable to actually open up the mod installer.

Default source for Relentless Night seems to be broken

The link to Relentless Night seems to be broken. When you select it and click "install" an HTTP 410 error is returned and the mod does not install.

The correct link appears to be (based on a manual download at the given URL):
https://www.moddb.com/downloads/mirror/138754/102/4c4fd20ffd0ea25bb3e0d28593d9ca3d

If I manually replace the existing link with this in sources.json, the mod downloads correctly (I assume this isn't a good way to do it, but it worked for testing).

It looks like you can fix this by simply replacing the existing link with the one above on line 32 of:
./descriptions/shieldheart-mod-installer-description.json (looking at the version of the tip of master). I don't know if there is more involved with that though -- that was based on a quick look, I didn't fully wrap my head around your utility.

The given URL, version number and change date in that file all appear correct, only the MD5 hash in the file link is wrong. I'm guessing a minor change was done by shieldheart without rolling the version.

I'd send a pull request, but I don't have a machine handy with any of the right toolchains to actually test it. Sorry!

Black screen after disclaimer

When booting up the game I get a black screen after I pass the disclaimer. I can hear the music in the background but can see nothing. I tried moving the mod installer files from my TLD folder, and it worked just fine. But I got the same issue when I put them back in, so I am not sure if it is an issue with the installer or the mods I have loaded. Any ideas would help, thanks!

On Linux: mod-installer.jar does not properly detect that it is in the correct directory when run from icon

For whatever reason, double-clicking the .jar complains that mod-installer-0.3.0.jar is in the wrong directory, despite being right alongside tld.x86 and tld.x86_64.

I cloned the repo to check out the source and it appears to me to be looking for that file correctly (./tld.x86) although it may be that for whatever reason, paths on Linux are being reported differently OR when it launches, it's not launching with that working path. Your Java is very clearly a lot better than mine.

Related to this, when the dialog pops up to inform the user that it's in the wrong directory, the text doesn't wrap, so it goes to ... just before the correct directory is shown.

I've fixed this UI thing, FWIW, though I am having trouble getting my jar to actually run-- it runs from IntelliJ.

There are a couple of suggestions, please see ...

Sorry for my english, Google translate helped me.
  • Can I add the checkbox - "Auto Close" | Example:

  • Is it possible to do something like localization? Example:
In courtyard of 2018, but still not everyone is learning other languages!

  • Screenshots or at least links to them do not interfere. To have an idea of mod. Example:
