jellyfin-rpm's Issues

Willing to send upstream?

I'd love to integrate this into upstream like we do with our Debian package - are you interested in that?

sudo allowances

I'm not sure that the existing sudo allowances should be allowed by default. Perhaps they should be approved by the admin.

The restart permission I'm not so worried about but the mount permission seems a bit sketchy.

I realise we are inheriting this from Emby, but perhaps we should be more cautious. I, for example, have no use or interest in mounting ISO images and would rather not give mount permissions to something that doesn't need it.

10.0.2?

Jellyfin 10.0.2 was released but without the new RPM building support in it yet.

Can you publish a 10.0.2 RPM to COPR from here, please? :-)

/var/lib/emby-server symlink

It seems that the database(s) have fully-qualified paths in them, so when migrating databases from Emby to Jellyfin, once they have been copied to /var/lib/jellyfin/ they will still refer to data/files in /var/lib/emby-server/.

I would suggest that if /var/lib/emby-server/ doesn't already exist, indicating that this is an installation on a machine without an existing Emby installation, that a convenience symlink be created for those that want to then copy their database and files from a different Emby machine.

If the /var/lib/emby-server/ directory does exist, it's a side-by-side install and once the database(s) are copied into /var/lib/jellyfin/ the existing /var/lib/emby-server/ paths will just work.

Since upgrading to jellyfin-3.5.2.gitf8a720d-2.fc29.x86_64 from jellyfin-3.5.2.gitf8a720d-1.fc29.x86_64 I'm getting:

trying to start it.

I can't exactly see what changes went in between those two releases as there are no tags to indicate which revs were used to generate the corresponding RPMs.
