toDataURL() can be called specifying image format, which can be helpful if you want to specify "image/jpeg" rather then letting the browser choose the default.

In Opera 12.16 and Firefox 23, the camera is properly accessed, but the plugin (on the demo page) is showing a perfect white video. On Chome 30 it does work.

Could you please add an option to the APi to set the correct width and height of the video.
At the moment the width and height of the element is used, but this is not correct for all webcams, am I right?

Greetings, I liked it but it is too problematic to have so much space to locate the preview of what the camera captures. I need something that occupies little space in my layout maybe only 250x200. But the problem is the controls that it includes aside. They should resize together with the preview view to a smaller size.

I just tried http://wolframhempel.github.io/photobooth-js/ in Firefox (latest version, 20.0.1) and it's not loading the video preview.

The browser asks for permission to use the webcam, but then no webcam preview appears on the page. I have media.navigator.enabled=true set (set by default.)

It still works fine in Chrome.
