valadevelop's Issues

Why not openSource?

Can you add to the README the reason why it is not openSource?
For the first time in my life I face closed software in Git )

Cant open valaDevelop

$ '/home/gavr/valaDevelop-master/valaDevelop'
/home/gavr/valaDevelop-master/valaDevelop: error while loading shared libraries: libvala-0.40.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Im on Fedora 29 with 0.42.5 valac version. I'm guessing that the binary is tightly tied to the version 0.40 and not >=0.40.

P.S.
It's so cool that someone finally decided to solve the problem of not having a normal IDE for Vala. Now most of all there is no working VLS.

Vala sources

I'm getting interested to vala,
So can you release the vala sources file instead of the c ones?

Thank you

Ps
I read the issue #1 but since you abandoned the development, you could allow somebody else to work on it

F12(find in valadoc) dont works for me

Dude, I just launched your valaDevelop for the first time, it's realy cool!
When I press F12 with the selected text, the selection disappears but nothing happens. In the console, I get the next bunch of asserts(all this occurs after one press F12 ).
VM with ubuntu 18.04 LTS, valadoc package installed.

[Feature request]

Add gtksourceview-3.0 theme selection

[Council ]
Do View from a popover menu 1 ToogleButtons.
The current one is not obvious, for example I can't close it if I don't move the mouse to one of the selection points.

Adoption: Vala cannot be statically linked with the current license

I was looking to add libvala and gee as statically linked components (as per @wolfgangmauer's comment on my pull request).

However, LGPL must be dynamically linked for the code to keep its license. Statically linked applications must adopt LGPL or allow the user to relink it. (I have no idea how to do that.)

This is also something that's advertised in the Readme:

Now valaDevelop comes with static linked libvala-0.46, so it should be run on any system with installed valac >= 0.40

I'm working on getting the libgee and libvala to work, but I thought to let people know of possible legal issues.

Here's some more info:

Windows version

It would be cool to have a Windows version. Now the only way to develop there is MSYS2 and VS Code / Sublime which only have syntax highlighting.
