Training for sentiment analysis

Hi there,

Please excuse my naive question. Is it possible to use this corpus to train an algorithm for sentiment analysis. Can I somehow extract a list containing the 7992 tweets that were annotated with a label representing their sentiment polarity.

I am not familiar with Java and the MMAX2 tool fails whenever I try to load any .mmax files.

Thank you in advance?

Automatically extract text & sentiment?

Is there a convenient command line tool or a sequence of mmax calls which will extract the spans and the sentiment polarity? The best I figured out so far was to extract one file at a time, which seemed kind of tedious.

make corpus compliant with Twitter policy

The current version of corpus provides raw text of tweets which violates Twitter policy. We should provide raw message ids instead and re-construct the corpus from these ids.
