Adalight WS2812

This is a fork of Adalight working with WS2811/WS2812 LED using the FastLED library (v 3.1).

adalight_ws2812's Issues

Max LED number is 255

Hello
I have an issue that when I set the number of LED's above 255 in "#define NUM_LEDS 240" the LED's will not light anymore
It is working fine with 255 and under
but if I go to 256
I still get the RGB flash at the start but no light after that
I'm using Prismatik (unofficial) 64bit and WS2812B LED's
I have also tried to use "FastLED.h" V 3.1.3 and V3.3.3

pragma message "FastLED version 3.001.006" -issue

i have downloaded the library and placed it inside a \Arduino\libraries
and renamed it to FastLED can you please help me what step am i missing and doing wrong
https://github.com/FastLED/FastLED/releases/tag/v3.1.6 using this library

using this source code
https://github.com/Wifsimster/adalight_ws2812/blob/master/Adalight_WS2812.ino

and following this you tube tutorial

What did I do wrong?

When I upload the sketch, my LEDs turn green and stay green. I am using WS2812B so it's probably actually a BLUE in the code.

How can I set max brightness?

Really, not a real issue, and sorry if this is not convinient way, but I'm totally noob with Arduino (this is my first project) and it is working :)

These LEDs are too much bright for TV ambient light purpose. From other side, with lowering brightness, I can use power supply with lower output current.

What should I add/change in code, so max brightness never goes above e.g. 170?

Thanks and thanks for great project. This give us a choice for cheap ambient light, we're not depending on unreal expensive rpi these days.
