your epub sample you generated has a bug. THis happens for example if the images can not be found

to do the same for HUGO sites. My book generator does not yet take hugo pages, only pandoc enhanced markdown without the metadata section.

However, the book cover generator could be used.

The file epub file produced can not be read.
I merely cloned your theme and with the example site as intended.
Size is 504K but is recognized as a gzip archive by evince, not an epub.
Nothing seems to fail but i can't read it.
Is this theme still updated or functional ?
(I used last version of hugo,hugo v0.123.8)

I am trying to convert the following Hugo site to an ebook, apologies in advance I know nothing about Hugo:

The site does work locally without modification via:
hugo server --buildDrafts --buildFuture

I then did the following:

• git clone https://github.com/weitblick/epub.git themes/epub
• Replaced config.toml with am exact copy from here your exampleSite/config.toml
• hugo --cleanDestinationDir

Which results in this error:

I suggest to use light gray as default background to the code bloks. The balck background is a bit overwhelming
