They are already being updated. We currently have a 4 hour cache time which we'll change in the near future to 3-5 minutes so the badges will stay updated faster.

Updated default cache time to 1 hour in #74. You can overwrite it by adding &cache=<seconds> to the image url. The minimum is 600 seconds.
However, this undocumented feature may be changed in the future. Thanks for your support!
