TGM Maps

NOTE: This repository is no longer maintained, and support may be limited. Map development efforts have moved to PublicMaps to support Warzone's transition to PGM.

The maps and active rotation used on the Minehut Warzone server. Maps in this repository are exclusively setup to work with TGM (Team Game Manager) and run on the latest version of Minecraft.

Updating the Repo

When adding or modifying any map in this repo, please note some of the requirements we have for our maps.

Updated World

When adding a map, please make sure the world is updated and compatible with the latest version of Minecraft.

  • You can figure out what version the world is by loading it into your Single Player Menu WorldVersion
  • If the world is not updated to latest version of Minecraft, you can do so by manually loading the map in a newer version of Minecraft.

NOTE: When updating the world version, you cannot skip version 1.12.2. If the world is 1.12.2 or older, please load it in a 1.12.2 Minecraft client first, before loading it in the latest Minecraft version.

Pruned Map

The map needs to be pruned for it to be accepted into the repo.

  • This means that all chunks excluding the map itself should be deleted from the world.
  • You can do this by using a program such as MCASelector to select and delete all the chunks that aren't apart of the map.
  • After pruning the map, please make sure that you only include the required world files (level.dat, map.json, region/*).

NOTE: When using MCASelector, please make sure you select the region folder to open the world, not the whole folder.

Additional Requirements

  • You must include a valid map.json file (This file is used to define the coordinates and teams for the plugin).
  • Ensure the map you are adding has a commercial license, meaning we have full permission to add the map and use it on our server.
  • In the JSON, you must include all builders that have helped build the map a significant amount.
    • Make sure the usernames you include in the authors section of the JSON has the builder's current username.

If you need any additional support with writing a map.json or anything else, you can try checking out our docs or by contacting a Map Developer on our Discord server located here.

License

As per the terms of the CC BY-SA 4.0 license, you may share and adapt any map of this repository, even for commercial purposes, as long as you give appropriate credit and provide your changes under the same license.

Acknowledgements

This repository represents the years of efforts by Warzone staff, map developers, and TGM contributors. Without them, none of this would have been possible. Kudos to them for their great work maintaining Warzone's maps.

Repairing Broken OP Bow to full durability glitch

This glitch is on map Aerial Conquest where there are some chest filled with Power 2 bows but they're almost broken. You can mine iron, make an anvil, and repair the Power 2 bow with your spawn-kit normal bow. It costs xp but the xp bar is your level bar, so it consumes no xp to repair the bow. I think that this glitch can appear in other maps that have some iron, broken OP gears, and a spawn-kit pick.

all maps built by _Rascal need to be changed to Laiten in the map.json and in-game

Deepwind Jungle potions

Speed potions on Deepwind Jungle (and potentially any other map that has potions) do not have the speed effect and appear as regular water bottles. This might be due to the 1.14 world conversion.

Limbo II Lava

Limbo II was not properly pruned when added to repo. There's lava on the sides which shouldn't be there.

Arbaro blitzmas

You're able to run out of the map since there's no barriers or anything like that.

CTW Wool Placement

In the CTW maps, Deepwind and Outback, you can place the wool as you grab it throughout the spawn, middle islands and your own team's spawn.

I believe this feature should be removed and that wool should only be place-able in the correct spot (behind the spawn in Deepwind, at the side of the spawn in Outback) because a player can just grab a stack of wool from the infinitively restocking chests and go placing wool as he goes back to his spawn.

If he dies, and he placed wool in his spawn island, he can just go back and mine it from there to go place it. It is a very easy way to win since you dont have to go back to the wool area/building, which I think breaks the purpose of the game.

Issue with map IceBound

at the begining theres a glitch where you could glitch over the stone wall so you dont have to walk around

Add oriental

Image

Oriental is a Japanese-styled DTW map which does not require a bridge to be made. The monuments are placed higher than both spawnpoints to change the default gameplay.

Persisto block placement issues

On Persisto, it won't allow you to place blocks in the designated lanes. Although you can build anywhere else. No idea what the issue is, but I thought I'd create this to acknowledge it, and hopefully for someone more skilled than me to fix it.

Issue with map Arctic V2

So basically its a feature in which I think shouldent be a thing. You can craft shears on ArcticV2 which gives an advantage as you can break the enemies wool in less than 5 seconds. I believe that if people start to find this out everyone will be triggered after they start and finish. It would get pretty annoying and there would be no way to defend at all. If you guys want to keep this, its fine. But in my opinion it wouldent be as fun. - Xounaut

P.S: You can only get iron on CTW maps except for Arctic V2 and another map that i do not know the name of :P

'KOTH' Top Point Issue

Issue: Upon capturing Top Point, plain hardened clay does not experience any changes, remaining as the color it is when not controlled, rather than changing to the color of the team that controls the point. You are also able to destroy blocks at the point, unfortunately I was unable to capture this with my screenshot tool.

Add beacons on objective-based maps to represent objective locations

Makes it easier for players to know where objectives are, especially if they are new. It also helps to see from long distances exactly where the objective would be. This is a good idea especially because of players constantly wondering where the objective is, among many maps.

Issue with map Itty Bitty

When talking during the map Itty Bitty the levels don't show next to the username

Relocate SunTest

SunTest is found in DTW when it's a DTM Map (Break gold blocks, not wool)

A glitch with wool registration on the map Arctic v2

Expected Behaviour

Breaking a piece of wool registers as a single broken wool.

Actual Behaviour

On the map Arctic v2, there tends to be situations where breaking a piece of wool will not add towards completing the objective. Meaning that breaking the wool does nothing.

Steps to reproduce the behaviour

I'm not completely sure what the actual cause of this problem is.

Additional Comments

Other players are able to break the wool and complete the objective whilst the person with the glitch is unable to support it.

Ladders breaking on balloons

The ladders that are supposed to go from the ground to the balloon which holds the monument break on all 3 balloon maps.

Rename Formorgar_1

Rename "Formogar_1" in the DTM Maps folder to "Formogar" to keep consistency.

Note that the map.json will have to be updated as the title is also "Formogar 1"

Rename Windworks_DTW

Rename "Windworks_DTW" to "Windworks" because there's no other gamemodes using this map.

Note that the map.json will have to be updated as the title is also "Windworks DTW"

Rename Brisked KOTH

Brisked is only used for KOTH, so it should be just named "Brisked"

Otherwise, it's still missing an underscore so the name should be changed to "Brisked_KOTH"

Race For Victory 2 (Map Bug)

Has anyone else seen that on the map Race For Victory 2 sometimes it glitches and you can enter your own wool. Seeing how it's CTW there are wool and only the other team can enter to take the wool. Ya know what I mean? But sometimes I have seen it glitch and a team can enter their own wool. Not sure if this is an issue for other maps but I have noticed it a lot on this 1 map.

Rename Warlock

Since there's Warlock_TM and Warlock_CTW, shouldn't we name the DTM version to "Warlock_DTM"

Note that the map.json will have to be updated as the title is also "Warlock"

Rename Cairo_TDM

The map Cairo is only used for KOTH, so it should just be named "Cairo"

Issue with map Kyoto

Spectators can set off the creepers on the map by right clicking them. It blows up and damages the map with no actual player there. -R2n

Add Ascension

Ascension is a DTW map that consists of three ships, two being team ships and the middle ship acting as a buffer between the two sides. It's a traditional style PvP map for the most part, and was made by ViceWatercolour. Includes .json and map files.

NOTE: Map has also been pruned in MCEdit. It's supposed to play during nighttime, if it doesn't let me know so I can modify it accordingly.

Map kinda glitch that makes your team immortal

The problem is on the WarlockDTM map. On the map has some gunpowder and sand, you can make TNT and blow up your own wool but the TNT explosion isn't counted as player damage to the wool. So you can blow up your own wool and never lose on that map because you don't have any wool for enemies to break.

Purple spawn has no spawn protection region, you can build inside it

Can't break iron or open chests under Turf Wars spawn

There's an area under both teams' spawns that has blocks of iron lining the walls with chests and crafting tables. I remember previously it was possible to use that iron and open those chests, so this seems to be a bug.
