voxeljs-site's Issues

update examples

I updated some stuff on the home page today, but I think we should put a few fresh examples at the top of the examples section

@deathcap @kumavis do you guys wanna pick 1 or 2 of your best demos to show off and either PR them in or link them here and I can do it?

Bad/hijacked DNS?

http://voxeljs.com/ appears to be hosting content with unrelated spam links, and breaks "view source on github" links. For example:

Current voxeljs.com:

<p>Here is a presentation from May 2013 that covers all the exciting stuff that happened in voxel.js land up <a href="http://www.betking88.online">judi bola online</a> to that point.</p>

gh-pages branch version doesn't contain the link to betking:

<p>Here is a presentation from May 2013 that covers all the exciting stuff that happened in voxel.js land up to that point.</p>

Looking at the domain records, it has a single A record pointing at 198.54.116.189, which doesn't match any of github's current servers - https://help.github.com/en/articles/setting-up-an-apex-domain lists these IP addresses:

185.199.108.153
185.199.109.153
185.199.110.153
185.199.111.153

Broken links

The website is broken left and right, broken links, missing videos, tons of stuff.

If I put in the work of making a PR with fixes, would it be considered/merged, or would I be wasting my time (that is, is this project active)?

Also, if I have questions, would I be able to get answers to them (in this issue for example, or on IRC maybe. Actually that's my very first question: the website refers to a IRC channel on freenode, but freenode is dead now, so is there an IRC channel somewhere else now, or is there no way to reach the community? ).

If I can fix the website, I also hope to find the time to contribute to the actual code for the project, but I need to know I'm not putting work into a dead project.

Thanks a lot!

Project directory where/how?

"Once node.js is installed, you can install the basic voxel.js npm package in your project directory, and then install a basic texture pack. Make a file called package.json in your project directory and give it these contents:"

This doesn't explain where project directories go. Do they have to be inside the top node_modules folder? Do we have to change a PATH variable?

link to IRC webchat

I noticed there was no mention of the irc channel on the webbypage (i think)

Not sure if we want this or not, but here is a link to a webchat version of #voxel.js

http://webchat.freenode.net/?randomnick=1&channels=voxel.js

or for those with proper native clients, this usually works

<a href="irc://irc.freenode.net:6667/voxel.js">internets</a>

Package list replaced with gambling ads

Line 174, <iframe width="800" height="315" src="http://requirebin.com/embed?gist=42912696f0f6f7355464" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> the requirebin link appears to have had server side changes causing it to display a non English gambling ad site. Suggestion, replace iframe with a locally hosted html page to the same effect

All examples do not launch

Clicking examples does nothing and does not throw an error, on the page:
http://www.voxeljs.com/#gallery

In: Chrome latest Version 81.0.4044.122 (Official Build) (64-bit)
On: Mac OS 10.15.4 (Catalina), Macbook Air 13 inch 2015 with Intel HD Graphics 6000 1536 MB

To be clear, WebGL is supported on the machine and works fine.

I debugged for a little bit, but it wasn't obvious. One strange thing is that all of the tags say "view source on github" but only some of them have an actual link that leads anywhere.
