There is a new version of Font Awesome that adds many icons. The version included with this theme is outdated and missing those fonts. I downloaded and extracted the free version of Font Awesome into the vendor
directory where the folder font-awesome
is and deleted the original folder but this just removed all the icons. I assume something's been done in some stylesheet and was done directly to the files in the original font-awesome
directory but I'm not sure what.
It'd be great if you could just update the version included with the theme!

You should have a server up and running locally at http://localhost:4000/.
After cloning this repo, how do we run a server for the site?
Normally there is a Gemfile to run the bundler. But now it doesn't.
Am I missing something here? Can someone please explain?
Hi, I really enjoy your jekyll template :)!
Could you maybe know how I can set up the size of font-awesomes in services.html
to be bigger?

When I run my website locally, I have no issues with the responsiveness of my page. When I publish it though, it starts to have some scaling issues. (http://rev.engineering)
I think it's not an issue within this repo per say, but I didn't find anything on google (maybe i'm lookng with the wrong key words).
Hopefully someone has the solution.
Thanks,

Hello, thanks for the theme. Is there a repo somewhere where I can get additional icons themed like the fa-diamond
and fa-paper-plane
etc.. ? Thanks
I'm working with the creative-theme, and when I add or change elements in main.css
located at _site/css/main.css
all those changes are removed/overwritten when I stop the Jekyll server and restart it with jekyll serve
, and the main.css
file is put back to its default state.
I've looked in the _site/index.html
file to see if main.css
is being pulled from a remote location, but all I see is:
<!-- Custom CSS -->
<link rel="stylesheet" href="css/main.css" type="text/css">
which seems to imply that main.css
is being read from a local copy, but the file still gets overwritten every time I restart Jekyll.
Obviously I'm missing something, but I'm not sure where else to look. I'm not a web dev, just a technical writer trying to use your theme to put together a freelance website.
Any help or pointers to the correct location to add my custom CSS would be appreciated.
