add vim and nvim configs
For instances where the computer doesn't have lunarvim installed, still will want some good defaults. Should include those files.
Add automated deletion method
We should have a way to remove the files that we have created locally and revert back to the originals.
This may mean that we need to keep the files either in-place or save them in our .dotfiles directory in an ignored subfolder so that we do not push them to the repo. Others have indicated that they do this and timestamp them.
Reminder to update repo after making config changes
I think I am going to go the symlink method. However, I know myself well enough to know that I am going to forget to update my github repo. In order to fix this, I think that creating an on-termal-open hook to check to ensure that our local .dotfiles repository is merged up with Main will solve the issue.
Fix MPD config
Right now MPD is trying to run as a system process. I tried to kill it, but no luck. None of the things that I have seen are helping. There may be a Pop!_OS specific issue that I am running in to because 1/init (PID/Program Name) is running on ::6600 which is causing MPD not to be able to run since something is already listening.
Things I have yet to try:
- Restarting my machine after ending the services
- Changing the port number
Update README
Here are things I should add:
- An updating section
- A deleting/reverting section
- A fancy image or two showing what the configuration looks like
- A list of features that are included
