White Fonts in Menu are hard to see

The things written in white are very hard to see, when the background already has white.
Screenshot_20200701_133728
Calendar, and Wifi settings are also almost invisible.
Screenshot_20200701_134227

Not having a mac, I don't know how it is managed in macOS, but here are some suggestions.

  1. Make the fonts black, like the global menu does.
    Screenshot_20200701_133805

  2. Increase the blur in the menu

I feel option 1 may look better

Window border broken

Hello! Thank you so much for this amazing theme!

Sadly I am running into some issues regarding the border of windows:
grafik

There is a big border around the window and I have no idea how to get rid of it.
I chose the WhiteSur-dark Window Decoration and left the window border size to default.
If I try for example setting the border size to non I still have a border around the window:
grafik

And if I try any of the other scaling Window Decoration like for example WhiteSur-dark_x1.25 the title bar breaks:
grafik

Am I missing a setting or something else that could fix this weird issue?

Thank you in advance! If you need further information do not hesitate to ask :)

SDDM theme items gets small

The items in sddm-greeter look like this:
Screenshot_20201018_135656
But, in the real log in screen, the items become very small.
I will try to get a screenshot.

Wifi icon keeps oscillating

The wifi icon keeps oscillating between these two. Sometimes the change is induced by clicking on the icon.
Normal icon:

Wrong icon:
Screenshot_20200701_134659

Except a few small glitches like this, the theme is wonderful. 👍👍

Dark Analog Clock icon

Hi, great theme, but could you please make the Analog Clock widget icon for the dark version of the theme, actually dark? Like the iOS dark clock widget icon:

iosclock

Drop downs in LibreOffice are cut off from the left-hand side

$ uname -r
5.4.112-1-MANJARO
$ kvantummanager --version
Kvantum Manager 0.19.0
$ libreoffice --version
LibreOffice 7.1.2.2 10(Build:2)

All drop downs in LibreOffice apps are cut of from the left (if I use any other preinstalled Kvantum theme, I can't replicate this issue). See below.

P.S. I’d like to replace that horrible marine blue color for active elements at the toolbar (see the active button for bolding text), but can’t see the setting under Tools > Options > LibreOffice > Application Colors. Is that a setting that could be modified within WhiteSur, perhaps?

possible costumization like whitesur-gtk

Hi, in whitesur-gtk there is the possibility to install a costum theme color (blue, pink, .. and so on)
This would be cool to have it in kde too. So the to would be identify :)

用这套亮色Kvantum主题的时候,Dolphin 左侧的 panel 栏的"Places", "Remote", "Recent" 几乎浅到看不清,希望换个字体颜色,或者把背景不透明度提升一些。

Question on change of icons and lock screen

Hello,

I would like to ask if you can change the current back/forward arrow (the one you can see in Dolphin for instance) system-wide?
Despite the fact they look awesome, I think they are a really negative influence on the complete impression.

I think the arrow presented in the "Application style" menu would fit better.

Please check the images and this video for reference.

Thanks for your time and possible consideration of my idea. :)

Kwin crashes and than the design is wiped away

Hard to describe this really show stopping bug: Kwin tends to crash with the plasma thema activated when all windows are closed and you want to open for example dolphin - than for 2-3 seconds the whole transparancy and other theme settings are wiped like in the screenshot here:

Bildschirmfoto von 2020-10-10 11-24-53

Main Problem is that if you are unlucky for reasons we couldn't figure out yet at a certain point the settings never won't come back. Uninstall of latte-dock or aurora and reinstall didn't solve the problem, complete remove of all the themes and reinstall them also didn't change anything. Even downloading other similar themes won't work anymore than. So basically the only thing you could do than is reinstall the whole system.

We can't figure out the root cause for this. Did anyone had this issue similar before and resolved it not by a complete reset of the entire system? We are close to our final build now and this really breaks us down since this is a major bug which needs to get adressed but we don't know where to start the investigation at all.

Thanks for any kind of help

install.sh not working?

Hey there! I am pretty new to KDE Plasma and I have been using the White Sur theme previously on my gnome for a long time so I gave it a try on KDE too. But running install.sh doesn't change everything like the top bar and the dock et Cetra. Do I have to install separate extensions for them or something?

Thanks!

Global Menu suggestion, Icon suggestion and Tray suggestion

  1. Is there a way to show the Application name before the Global Menu and after the Apple icon
  2. Also although I like Apple and Mac, I would prefer if there was a way to change the icon to something else. Maybe give some choices, like KDE gear icon or Linux Mascot or something. Even the splash screens should provide alternate choice of images. After all we are using Linux platforms for our reasons.
  3. Also, as defaults for system tray could you add time (digital clock), battery and minimize all windows. I know it is easy to drag these.

I am using latte-dock. Is there an alternative that goes with the whitesur themes I should use?

Great job by the way.

Menu drop-down items on the right of the taskbar hard to read

Hi, love the theme. I do have one issue though. It seems any drop-down menus on the right of the taskbar are really hard to see/read when there is any window underneath of it. I think the opacity needs to be turned down. Oddly, the drop-downs on the left side, the global menu items, are better and I can read those, so I think there is a difference. Here is a screenshot of the Status and Notification Drop-Down Menu with my browser open;

I have made it,

but I am not really satisfied with it, because the bar is to short and the shadows to big.

Dolphin, menubars didn't change apperance

Hi! Thank you so much for the work you've done on this beautiful theme! The menubar up top looks beautiful, and I love the appearance of menubars on applications now!

Unfortunately, neither the menu bars nor Dolphin changed appearance or took on the look that they were supposed to in the preview images. I've installed this theme, as well as the WhiteSur gtk theme and the WhiteSur icons theme, but they've retained the standard appearance under the Breeze theme. In addition, under "Application Style" in settings, I do not get an the option to use WhiteSur.

I'm running a fresh installation of Kubuntu 20.04, and I have no other themes installed on my computer. I only installed the WhiteSur gtk theme after dolphin didn't change after installing the WhiteSur icons theme, and the WhiteSur kde theme.

If necessary, I can revert my system to a point before the installation of WhiteSur gtk.

Any way to disable transparencies, especially the bottom edge of the window decorations?

Hi, I love this theme, however I don't really like the performance impact of transparencies.
Is there a way to disable transparencies, if not globally at least the bottom edge of the window decoration?
Even when I enable all transparencies, including in Kvantum etc, I find the bottom edge of the window decoration always seems for more transparent than any other border, it just seems a little off to me, or maybe I've configured something incorrectly.

Many thanks, love your work.

The "Eject Icon" on mounted drives is too off.

Hi,

I want to first of all say that this is unquestionably the best theme (IMHO) that I have ever used with Gnome so far. Ever.

Everything seems to be as close as it gets to perfect, however I am facing one small issue:

image

The eject icon in the mounted drives seems to be off and is causing the Natuilus contents to also be pushed towards the right.

Does any one know of a quick css fix or hack to bring this back? Or might as well fix this permanently if you guys get a chance.

The icons in the panel are somewhat too thick

Here are the icons in WhiteSur.

Here are the icons in Mojave (dark theme)
Screenshot_20200701_134630

The icons (especially battery, bluetooth, kde connect and network) in WhiteSur are somewhat too thick. (the network icon keeps oscillating between this wifi inside a folder and a normal wifi icon, I will open a new issue for it)

Unlike in Mojave, the charging battery does not show up in green, so it's hard to see.

Love the theme @vinceliuice!

Inverted colors of SDDM with BigSur alt variant of theme

When you enter from lock screen to the login screen the background should darken as it happens with any other variants of the theme, however with the alt variant the login screen background gets brighter making it difficult to read and annoying especially at night.

If you think this is related to my low res screen (1366x768) please close this issue. I think these are svgs, but i haven't experienced this while using other gnome themes in the past.

[SUPPORT] Blur is not passed to every component

Hello
First of all thank you for this stunning theme! It works like a charm except for one little problem: The blur is not passed to every KDE component. I've attached a screenshot.
I've tried everything that came to my mind (including reinstalling KDE) but there's always this small thing that nudges me and I kinda can't believe that this should look like that on purpose.
I'm using the Kvantum theme.
Kvantum is selected as the widget appearance and as color scheme but still some components are not transculent (look at that tiny padding between the menu on the left and the global theme widget).
Sadly there wasn't any detailed setup (what to do if you got Kvantum, Troubleshooting, etc...) but I hope you can help me

Weird dark border lines in Filezilla

I use Kvantum manager 0.17, selected kvantum application style in my Manjaro KDE Plasma and WhiteSur colors, as well as WhiteSur global theme. Application style > window decorations is set to WhiteSur-Sharp. I wonder if my Filezilla can look any better than this?

Please check 1) way too dark border lines in my Filezilla, 2) inactive icons that are dramatically dark. For issue 3) odd spacing around the buttons inside KCalc I've been informed it was due to a bug in KCalc. Overall Filezilla looks quite unfinished and I wonder is there a way this could be fixed in this theme? Thanks.
