After associating bluetooth to the 3G phone, try to make a call via siphon,
the audio is only through the phone, not the headset/handsfree device

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. 8GB IPhone v1.1.4
2. Touchmods MIC
3. Body Glove 2.5 MM stereo headset with Mic, comes with 4 conductor 2.5MM 
to 3.5MM adapter for use on Iphone (as stated by the packaging)
4. Configured to work with my TrixBox 2.5 system

Two way audio during a call expected (of course) and I can hear them but 
they cannot hear me.

I've tried 1.9.4 and 1.9.7 both from touchmods and from sip.free.fr
On a 8GB v1.1.4 Iphone (unlocked and jailbroke using ziphone's tools) I'll 
try to get everything to compile 1.99 but at the moment I am not aware of 
any binary's.

3. after your entry, the keyboard remains, there is no "done"

This does not affect usability, but it is a little annoying.  You can get
rid of the keyboard by going to the previous screen.

Siphon crahes immediately after pressing the "call" button if there is
no entry in the the AddressBook for the dialed number!!!

I expected registration to succeed, but it doesn't :-) The attached
capture shows that Siphon successfully replied to the 401 Asterisk sent,
and received a 200 OK.

Essentially, calls made from Siphon with the same settings as my hardware 
phones have echo 
cancellation issues.

I hear and sound fine on the iPhone, but remote parties hear a lot of echo. 
It's mostly when the calls 
are sent outside of the IP PBX in the big bad world. Call within our network 
(LAN) display some echo 
cancellation issues, but not the massive amount (you can fully hear yourself) 
when talking to outside 
callers. 

I'm not sure how to debug this one. We use an Asterisk 1.4 / FreePBX 4.2 based 
setup (PBX in a 
Flash) and our hardware phones have no echo cancellation issues. 

Other than that the calls sound great and Siphon works really well. Even when 
the phone auto-
locks.

Is some kind of signal supposed to pop out when receiving a call and out of
the program. The only time I can actually know someone is calling me, is
when I am in the program. The daemon mode is not of much use if this is the

that "settings scrteenshot" is present on the top halve of the appliation, 
below the contacts and dial buttons are active, it seems i can also connect to 
sip server, 
but the upper halve of the Keypad (and Contacts list) is overlapped with that 
white settings

1. when you make or receive a call, the sound of callee is weak. It's not
important in a building but in the street you don't hear anything.

This is probably related to http://trac.pjsip.org/repos/ticket/352. The sip
service provider is sip.i-call.gr in Greece. I cannot register my username
with the server due to this.

Siphon works great on my 3G with 2.0.2
At the beginning, my calls didn't work and a screen appeared directly 
with "appel termine" but after I retry and then all was fine.

I haven't try with the earphones yet but the sound quality is really 
great !
There's some lags (when I open the contacts...) but I suppose they are due 
to the FW 2.0x so, I'll try again this week end with 2.1

But there is just a real problem for me, when my calls are finished, the 
app stay on the screen "appel termine", so I need to close and open it 
again. And also, I don't have a dial tone at all, but maybe its normal via 
SIP.

So, excellent sound, GREAT App !

Hi,

I am running the latest version of siphon on FW1.1.3. I have configured my
TPAD (VOIP) settings on the siphon-settings menu. But everytime i launch
siphon, it opens up and then automatically closes again. And if i turn on
the log, i am not sure where the log file is stored. Pls advise.

when calling another sip extension, I don't hear any ringback in the
iphone.    The display just says "calling" until the other side answers the
call.

When GrandCentral connects the call, it plays a message, asking you to
press 1 to connect, 2 to send to voicemail, etc.  When I press those
numbers on my iPhone, it doesn't recognize them.  This works on a
GrandStream 2000 SIP Phone that I have, same configuration, I believe it's
just a difference in the way it handles DTMF, my GrandStream is set to send
DTMF via RTP (RFC2833).

When the micro is activated, the CPU activity increases to 80-100%.
The process that uses CPU is mediaserverd.

Currently, the only solution to the problem is to open mobile safari and 
navigate to the Gizmo 
proxy: proxy01.sipphone.com.  After that, calls work on that Wi-Fi network, but 
if you go to a 
new Wi-Fi network, in which case you have to do the same thing.  This may have 
already been 
posted, but this has been a consistent inconvenience for me personally.

after my first bad experience (ID 26), I remove some ringtones and some 
applications and try to reinstall Siphon.

No problems during the installation

Everything seems to work well

Setup of the SIP provider
Dialing a number
using  the address book
registering a new favorite

I try my original earphone and my shure earphone with the adapor and microphone 
for iphone

The only problem I get is the desynchronization of my iPhone headset. I just 
have to reset it.

For the audio level, it is much better than with the first version.

The icon of the Siphon application in itunes on MacOSX isn't the Siphon
Icon. The Icon displayed is the default icon for app. 

I used beta4 and called my freeswitch ivr demo (ext 5000 on a standard
freeswitch install).  Hitting the buttons to select an option was ignored
by freeswitch. 

How is dtmf transmitted?  Is it only inband or rfc2833?

Siphon 2 beta2 on iPhone 2.0.2
Siphon works fine and with a great sound (little echo on the other side
though). I've also tried Siphon through a VPN connexion (IPSec) and it
works also fine.
I have no more error e800001 when installing.

Would be nice to have history working and perhaps version number in the
welcome screen.

My address book has 1 800 MY APPLE as the number for Apple, Inc.  The phone 
dials just 1800 and 
not the rest.  An api to translate the letters to numbers would solve this.

When is Siphon available for the new iPhone 3G? I really want to get it 
running on my phone.

NAT, verified to be working and port-forwarded correctly to the right 
addresses, with two
terminals stacked atop running tcpdump on different ethernet devices
pbx.gplhost.com server

The phone doesn't seem to record audio at all, and sends very few if any RTP 
packets back
to the server.

How can I debug this issue?

Tried to dial 0 for my operator extension.  The phone doesn't do anything.

At launch, the program send an errror : "Invalid value or argument(PJ_EINVAL)"
it's reproducible. (version ...hmm need to add one, date 10 sept 2008 ;-)  )
