NotificationCompat.MediaStyle() has bo build errors when using androidx.media.app but it does NOT notify

Notification is not showing on Android Version 8 or above.

I have migrated project to androidx after that notification is not showing and also when i close the app mediaplayer also gets stopped.

MediaSessionManager was added in API 21, how can you support API < 21?

Hi, I followed your great tutorial. It help me a lot!
I have a fragment which display all song and a fragment which display songs of an album when I click on it.
When i click the on a song item (from songFragment or albumDetailFragment) it store the index of the list. But when I want to display a song from an another list it displays the song at the index of the first selected list...
My question is how to redefine list stored in StorageUtils ? thank you in advance

The service is running well, but as not expected, when I clear apps through overview button, the service wtops. Pls give a fix. Music apps keep running even when recent apps are cleared.

How can I add shuffle, repeat, random & a actual screen that shows the progress? Also the notification options keep showing back up after I swipe them away.
