Hello!

I switch out yum for apt and the versions numbers for both Cantata and taglib but cannot get this to build.
Any chance you can update this script?

nb. I also tried packaging the executable using appimagetool but could not get the appimage to open.

This should change. Compiling VLC is complicated though and I couldn't find libvlc for CentOS 6.7, yet.

Thanks for making an AppImage of Cantata. I am running into a little issue on Ubuntu 16.04 : it seems like font hinting is not applied. After some research, i found that this is a qt bug. It has been fixed in Qt5.4 (see https://codereview.qt-project.org/#/c/104172/).
So my question is : which is the version of qt you are using?
In the case the version is Qt5.3 or earlier, could you consider building your AppImage with a newer Qt?
