The Moov Now device will track your ride, run, swim, cycle, box, HIIT and crossfit accurately, but it does not have any export option or backup options. This is a modified version of the official Moov Now Coach application wich allows you to export swimming timings to the "MoovBackup" folder as csv files. You have to open and close the swimming in history, and the swimming will be saved. It works on any Android 4.4 device or more than 4.4 or on an Android PC emulator, such as Nox. Install and enjoy.

Does not install on Android.

Hi, @uM0d

Awesome work there!!
Downloaded the APK and tried to install on my S8, tried to install after already installing the original version but, although it said it would only update that version in the end it said "app not installed".

So, do I have to first uninstall the official version?

Many thanks.

Where is backup?

Hi there, first of all thanks a lot for your effort.
After installing the APK I've tried to find the backup folder on my Android phone by searching or installing even a device for explorer however with no luck. May I have done something strange while installing? I'm not a programmer. Thanks again
Giuseppe

App crash

Hi, thanks a lot for doing this mod, it's a great solution.
I'm having problem to make it work, installed on a second phone (nexus 5X, android 8) when trying to open the swim report the app crashes.
It created the backup folder but it's empty, as the app continue to crash if opening a swimming session.
Any advice would be appreciated
Thanks

Can't get it to work :(

@uM0d

Thanks for your attention.

So, these are the steps I took to try and get the app to work.

1)Installed the modified version on another android phone 2 and kept the original version on phone 1. All the swims are shown on phone 2, same data as the original on phone 1.
2)Allowed debugging on phone 2 and connected to pc.
3)Opened a swim session on phone 2 while connected to pc and nothing happened.
4)Installed Vysor to mirror the phone on pc and followed your instructions and still can't see the Moovbackup folder.

None of my phones are rooted, should they be? Phone 1 S8 and phone 2 S5.
Tried on Windows and mac.

I also noted that you your screenshots from Nox are on android 5, my phone 2 is on android 6.0.1, would that be an issue?

Thank again for your help.

Will this work for cycling as well?

Many thanks for posting this as it is exactly what I am looking to do...except for cycling and not swimming. I have no developer knowledge whatsoever but what you've done amazes me!

I apologize in advance if there are stupid questions below but my first possible one is, will the MOD you've created work for cycling too or just for swimming? I managed to figure out how to use the NOX emulator and was able to install your MOD - however, although I've viewed and exited rides I've done (which I understand should create a backup folder), this hasn't happened for some reason - and maybe that's because what you've created will only do create a backup folder for swims? If so, would you be willing to work on a MOD designed for cycling? If I'm missing something, and what you've created works for cycling too, could you please let me know what I am missing? And also, I have no idea how I would generate a .fit file so an explanation of that would be appreciated too.

Thanks again for helping users with an issue many of us have with MOOV (lack of export function). And thanks for any help you can provide.

Fix errors in csv and export to fit?

First of all, thank you so much for this. The Moov was perfect except for its lack of sync and export for swims.

Well, almost perfect. Sometimes it messes up the distances and thinks that I did a lap when I was just walking towards the pool and such. It would be easy to fix this in the csv file, but is there a way to export the corrected data as a .fit file?
