What is wcioShop

An e-commerce solution focused on speed and reliability. Long story short, the first version of this system was built in 4 days of nonstop coding (YES I did not sleep for days coding the first version in 2010). This system has been in use since 2010 but never made public, this GitHub project will fix that. I will be making a lot of changes to this before adding files to GitHub. If you see this message, the project is not ready for use.

Requirements

PHP 8 (Developed on PHP 8.x, might work on older versions)
Apache 2.4+ web server
A valid and working SSL certificate. Any error due to missing SSL will not be fixed. With the availability of free SSL LeetsEncrypt, there are no reason not to have it.

Is there a live demo

What is catalog mode / full shop mode

Catalog mode is a catalog only, no purchasing is possible. Prices and stock status is not displayed by default (but can be). Full shop mode is a fully working site with purchasing.

Themes

Currently, there is no plan to make a default theme with all functions included. What you see on the live site example is just to show what can be done.

Move admin templates to frontend.

No need to have seperate templates_c etc. for admin ,when it can just be in frontend directories. Its already sharing the smarty files.

$liveSearchOrders have search values even if nothing is saerched for

Search page or not a search page

Currently, there is a live search function on the default theme, and I think most will keep this in any theme. My question is...

Should I make a search result page or not?

Reason for making one:

Filters can be applied (filter by brand, price etc)
More design options for those who want a search
Live search results are limited.

Reasons for not making one:

Extra coding ;D
More pages with the same content (SEO) that needs to be stopped from indexing
More page loads for the end user. If they first start to search and they then press enter and go to search results, they could just have clicked on a product from the live search.
