Right Alt + anykey not rememberd as hotkey

Using 1.0b on Win 7 x64 Home Premium
Try setting Right Alt + Inster as Hotkey (it will say Ctrl + Alt + Inster, it's
correct, Right Alt works as Ctrl + Left Alt)
It just doesn't work

OpenPandora Support

This is more of a feature request than a defect.

Could you please add OpenPandora support? http://getopenpandora.appspot.com/

They have global hotkeys built in and to pause the music you just have to
hit Ctrl+Win+Space.

Great Program!
Thanks!

New Option: Run custom command when system locked or unlocked

It would be great if we could run a custom command, script or exe when locking or unlocking the PC. Right now I tend to stop the Corsair Utility Engine when locking my PC so my keyboard lighting won't go on by itself or turn on when I'm remotely accessing the PC. Additionally I'd love to be able to automate the process of stopping and starting various services and exe's, which I can encapsulate in a script, but so far I don't see how I can do that in the current version.

BTW, thanks for this tool. Saves a TON of energy! I use it regularly.

Locking whilst Spotify is paused will cause music to resume when unlocked.

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Open Spotify
2. Pause it
3. Lock screen
4. Upon resume music begins playing immediately

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Should stay paused.
Music begins to play when system is unlocked.

Turn off monitor if Windows is currently locked upon starting MonES? (small suggestion)

To boot more quickly, I have disabled the need to log in w/ a password on my
computer (I am the only user). To keep my password screen, I have placed a
shortcut to lock the screen in the startup folder. MonitorES is set to start
w/ windows therefore the screen should immediately lock and power off when
Windows starts. However the screen usually just locks and doesn't power off
when I startup Windows; I am guessing the computer is locking just b4 MonitorES
starts and it isn't catching the command. I have tried putting MonES in the
startup folder to remedy this but it doesn't change anything. Perhaps you
might think about adding a small tweak in which the program checks to see if
Windows is currently locked when it opens and responds accordingly.

Great prog, Thanks

Monitor turns back on after a couple minutes

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Win+L with just Auto display off enabled

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Monitor to shut off and stay off. Instead, monitor comes back on after a couple
minutes

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Win7 64bit using 1.0(b) AND Lite (happens in both)

It happens after a couple minutes, but I don't think it's the monitor's normal
auto-sleep functionality bringing them back because that's set for 10 minutes.

Monitor goes into standby after computer wakes from sleep (Windows 7)

What steps will reproduce the problem?

1. While logged on to a user, press the sleep button on your computer. The
computer will enter sleep mode (S3/S5).
2. Wake the computer from sleep. The "locked user" screen appears and
prompts you for the password to unlock the user.
3. After two seconds, the monitor goes into standby mode, as if you've
just lock the workstation (which you didn't - the lock was automatic when
waking from sleep).

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

The computer should wake from sleep without having the monitor go into
standby after a few seconds.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Monitor Energy Saver 0.5 on Windows 7 x64

Please provide any additional information below.

Obviously MonitorES catches the lock workstation event that is fired
automatically right after waking from sleep (if the "Require password on
wakeup" option is enabled in the advanced Power Options dialog box. A
reasonable solution would be to catch the wake from sleep/hibernate event
and disable the lock workstation event detection for 5 seconds or so. Or,
it could check if the "Require password on wakeup" option (probably via
the registry), and if it is enabled, ignore the next lock event.

[request] Option to allow screensaver (or others) upon wake from sleep

Windows 7
MonitorES 1.0.1(b)

I use this program to trigger my screensaver (it is a password locker). I know this is not the intended usage, but I want to request an option to be able to allow the screensaver to come on when the computer wakes from sleep (windows is configured to show logon screen at that time).

I think this was the default behaviour and it was changed at the following ticket:
#24

Wireless keyboard turning screen back on?

Reproduce:
1. Lock computer using Win+L or start menu
2. Wait a few seconds
3. Screen turns off, but on again after a few seconds

I expected the screen to stay off, but I think my new wireless keyboard
(microsoft arc keyboard) is sending some keystroke or something.

I am using Windows 7 Ultimate with Monitores 1.0.1b Lite. I have isolated the
problem to the keyboard, and definitely not the mouse. Turning off the keyboard
every time I lock Windows would be inconvenient and therefore not a great
solution.

Anyone with advise or suggestions please help.

Options for AC power and Battery

I think that the addition of two tabs to MonitorES would make it even more
powerful. Having the same settings copied into two tabs labeled AC Power and
Battery Power would allow laptop users to save even more power and keep their
personal preferences.

My use for this would be to have the Screen Saver automatically enabled on lock
when on AC power and to turn off the display automatically on lock when on
battery power.

Monitor wouldn't need to constantly check to see if the computer is on battery
or AC; it would only have to check when the monitor is locked.

What steps will reproduce the "problem"?
1. Play music
2. Lock the PC (music stops which is cool)
