The new EMF 2.9 changed its internal editor, so the Reflective Editor for Xtext does not compile (and work) over EMF 2.9.

When the save button is pressed in the reflective editor, the editor tries to save the inferred model files together with classpath resources, however, those resources do not support these operations, this it results in errors in the user interface.

As those resources are inferred from the main model, there is no need to save them, so the editor could be smarter to avoid these issues.

According to a comment (https://www.eclipse.org/forums/index.php?t=rview&goto=1726704#msg_1726704) the MWE fragment is not compatible with the new generator of Xtext 2.9. Either a new fragment should be provided, or the existing fragment should implement both generator fragment APIs.

Hi, I have created a xtext grammar from an existing ecore model. I am able to instantiate my grammar and write the model dsl for the gramar. The problem comes when I do the following “Open With -> Sample Reflective Ecore Model”. So I downloaded your plug-ins with the hope that it would work. Unfortunately, I am still not able to get the ecore model. The error that I am getting is as follows :

According to a comment EMF Reflective Tree Editor allows synchronized editing with the text file, while the xtext reflective tree editor does not. We should check.
