The eyelink API has a number of functions that are completely blocking:

• do_tracker_setup()
• do_drift_check

The eyelink API will actually call callbacks from the hooks functions.

So if the private thread of the eyelink is in such a call, we need to make sure that in the callbacks of the EyelinkThread we can see that the mainthread is trying to stop. We can do this via pushing a message on to the GEyelinkEt->track_setup_queue. These messages are poppep from the queue in eyelink_hook_input_key()

So make sure that all calls that need the thread to respond, push a message on to the queue that will stop the hookfunctions and make the functions above return.

Currently the Eyelink thread becomes unresponsive in when calling eyetracker_setup(), eyetracker_calibrate()

Currently many properties and data of the eyelink et are setted/getted directly on the GEyeEyelinkEt instance. This can/will lead to problems later. Either we need to protect them with mutex's or pass messages to the thread and make the thread handeling of the attributes of an eyelink eyetracker.
