ciborium's Issues

Don't mount everything by default

By default, Ciborium tries to mount every partition on mass storage devices and throws a warning pop-up when it fails.

On the PinePhone, it even tried to mount partitions on the internal eMMC storage, but this was fixed recently, enabling Ciborium on the PinePhone as well.

However, the usage pattern of the PinePhone differs from Halium-based ports. People are not just inserting an SD card with a FAT32 partition to put their music and photo's on, but they also tend to insert SD cards with multibootloaders, other OS'es, JumpDrive, and so on.

When Ciborium starts, it tries to mount all such partitions, and fails to do so. Then it spams the user with notifications of its failure, which is annoying.

There are numerous ways to solve this problem. Just from the top of my head:

  • Implement some sort of checkbox mechanism, where the user can select which partitions Ciborium should automount at boot;
  • Do a filesystem check prior to mounting, to determine whether it's actually mass storage or something else;
  • Disable the notifications (set /com/ubuntu/NotificationSettings/dpkg/ciborium/enable-notifications to false by default), although that's not really a 'fix'.

Unable to format SD card on pinephone

My SD card shows up in the app, but when I try to press either button (format or safely remove) nothing happens. The logs are the following:

2021/03/23 09:41:43 log.go:88: main.qml.:36: Format button clicked
2021/03/23 09:41:43 log.go:88: popupUtils.js:31: file:///usr/lib/aarch64-linux-gnu/qt5/qml/Ubuntu/Components/Popups/1.2/popupUtils.js:31: TypeError: Type error
2021/03/23 09:41:47 log.go:88: main.qml.:40: Safe removal button clicked
2021/03/23 09:41:47 log.go:88: popupUtils.js:31: file:///usr/lib/aarch64-linux-gnu/qt5/qml/Ubuntu/Components/Popups/1.2/popupUtils.js:31: TypeError: Type error

I am using a ubports community edition pinephone (with original mainboard) and I am on the kernelUpgrade channel.

Multi arch build on xenial

Currently we are only building for armhf due to the workaround of having to hardcode the qt path in qml.v1/bridge.go (which sucks!) we need to find a way to get multiarch builds going.

Belarusian

Hi. Update please Belarusian from weblate.

Use a suru icon

The current icon stands out as being very different from the rest of the icons and not in the suru style at all.
