I'm the author of this repo. Unfortunately I no longer have a Chromebook so can't easily continue to maintain these scripts and ensure they work with the latest upgrades.

If you find this useful and want to help maintain scripts as ChromeOS updates break things then please get in touch. I'm sure some people that use this repo will find that helpful.

In the meantime I have added a comment to the README.md file to note that it is not being actively maintained.

I get this error message:

Package libreadline-gplv2-dev is not available, but is referred to by another package.
This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or
is only available from another source

E: Package 'libreadline-gplv2-dev' has no installation candidate

the command ./install-python.sh gives the error: E: Package 'libreadline-gplv2-dev' has no installation candidate
in the end, what do I do, I tried installing libreadline-dev which resulted in another error E: Package 'python-software-properties' has no installation candidate, it says I do not have Python which is the reason I came to this.


I tried different versions of Python but the error persists.
