Weighted A* Search using the Unity Engine

Compiling system: Project can be compiled using the Unity program.

Programming language: C#

How to run program:
1. Download Unity3D.
2. Go to a-star-pathfinding/assets/levels and open “AStar.unity” in Unity3D.
3. Once opened in Unity, click on the “play” icon at the top of the screen to run the project.

NOTE: To find C# code: Go to a-star-pathfinding/assets/scripts.

Innovation:
- Used terrain-based weighted A* search as opposed to ‘uniform’ A* search learnt in class.
- Implemented different heuristics (Manhattan, Euclidean, and Diagonal distances) so that performance can be compared.
- Built a heap structure of nodes for the open-set for simpler insertion and removal of (neighbouring) nodes.
