While image upload works, image_tag does not resolve to the correct url in my case.

I do not understand the ActiveStorage architecture, but with a bit of spying (https://github.com/iscreen/active-storage-ftp/blob/master/lib/active_storage/service/ftp_service.rb and https://github.com/gordienko/activestorage-ftp/blob/master/lib/active_storage/service/ftp_service.rb) I managed to "fix" image display by modifying def url.

However, paths to variants will not work. Are you in maintaining mode and do we dig a bit deeper?

Is it time for the 0.2.0 release? As I do not see the 0.1.1 git tag, maybe I should mention that releasing a new version is as easy as modifying the version.rb, commit it and rake release (because the bundler/gem tasks stuff is included in Rakefile).

As far as I see, there is no authentification support built in. Is that on purpose? What about adding a password-parameter to the configuration and use it when doing the connection?

Probably https://github.com/rails/rails/pull/36729/commits should be implemented - has to be investigated.
