Hit me up you're absolutely sure this is a Timecop issue though @meesterdude seems to justify that's not the case.

I am not completly sure, but I can say that Time.now is mocked, but Time.newnot:
1.9.3 (main):0 > Timecop.freeze(Time.now)
=> 2012-07-27 07:50:19 +0200
1.9.3 (main):0 > Time.now
=> 2012-07-27 07:50:19 +0200
1.9.3 (main):0 > Time.new
=> 2012-07-27 07:50:29 +0200
But that´s not expected behaviour, is it?

@BlackHacker since Ruby's docs say they're synonyms I would say not. I've just fixed and pushed this in 13e01d8. Thanks!
