what if

• we just missed the window where no Time Machine backup was running?
• we just identified stability and in the instant between this identification and taking the snapshot, some process starts to write to the directory

how does a multi-backup scenario look like?

If something went wrong (or another backup is running on the current directory) there might be old file system snapshots on the local server. Find a way to handle them.

For e.g. a photo-base backup, a local snapshot does niche really pay of. Reduce complexity for these cases->reduce risk of errors. (It's not only taking the snapshot but waiting for the stabilisation of the directory as well!)

If a backup job is running, do not start a new one
