Hi Tom,

Thanks for your great tool. I've used it to generate charset_tables successfully for collations other than 'utf8_general_ci', but I have had to make a minor change to your code, by explicitly setting the 'mychar' column's collation to $collation as well; otherwise mysql would defaults it to 'utf8_general_ci', instead of inheriting it from the database or table collation.

I don't have read-write access to your project so committed the change to my fork, not sure if that's the right way to do it as this is my first git commit:
