raven-storm's Introduction

Raven-Storm Toolkit

Raven-Storm is a powerful DDoS toolkit for penetration tests, including attacks for several protocols written in python(3.8).

Takedown WiFi access points, devices in your network, servers, services, and Bluetooth devices with ease.

Raven(abbreviation) is desinged to help you to test, understand, and learn from stress-testing attacks.

Raven can deal with strong servers and can be optimized for non typical targets.

Raven will fit your purpose, even if it is jamming down wifi networks or bluetooth devices.

I archived this repository because I currently do not want to work on it.

How to run a DDoS attack

You probably already know the difference between DoS and DDoS: A DoS Attack is run by a single Maschine and a DDoS Attack by multiple.

But how do we perform a DDoS Attack using Raven-Storm?

To connect multiple instances of Raven-Storm, you will then need to open a host. Just execute the command server and define a custom password to prevent others from interfering. When run, you will receive a URL that you can connect to when executing the ddos command.

raven-storm's Issues

failed connection

When I start the attack I get an error message:
Failed Connection killed!, please wait...

Enhancements

I tried this tool on a Linux OS, with the target set to a raspberry pi hosting a basic Apache webserver.
As expected, it didn't work
I used two attack methods, l4 and l7
l7, as expected, flooded the server with GET requests. I ran it for 10 minutes, and my webpage showed no signs of slowing down. Therefore, it is about as useless as LOIC or HOIC
l4 doesn't do anything at all. It floods requests, but do you really expect the server to accept all of them?
Thus, I can confirm that this tool is about as useless as LOIC or HOIC, and can't really do anything.
Also, if you are making a botnet mode, why make it run on Linux only? Did you know that only 1% of the world's computers run Linux?
So, to the creator of this tool, please grow up, and stop making such skiddish tools. This is only good for a wannabe hacker(also known as a skid, or script kiddie)
