mintmap's Issues

A few questions...

Hi! I am starting to use MINTmap and I have what are probably very obvious questions from reading the paper and getting to grips with tRNA mapping:

  1. How can we make the assumption that sequences from small-RNASeq are derived from tRNA fragments rather than full length tRNAs? Is this down to size selection at the level of library preparation?
  2. Is it reasonable to use MINTmap to approximate read proportions to full length tRNAs ie. by mapping to the lookup table and then summing unambiguous reads to a reasonable level of abstraction (ie. amino acid or isoacceptor)? Or are there inherent assumptions of MINTmap that would make this invalid?
Thank you for any help you can give. Also please add mouse lookup!! ;)

Release pip version Mintmap 2

Hi there,

I used to know about Mintmap an a few months ago I found that you had a new python version, and that is great! Congratulations!

I was wondering if you are planning to release it as pip or conda package as it might be quite straightforward from the point you have the code right now.

Best regards

create release from only code branch

Hi Philipe,

thanks a lot for creating the branch. Do you think you can create a release from that branch?

It would be easier and cleaner to implement in bioconda :)

thanks!

lookup table for mm9

Hey there, I'm really interested in using your software but I need it to run on mm9. Could you please make available the lookup table and other files for mm9? Thanks
