This is how helix looks with inlay hint enabled

I cannot see them tbh, i don't know how that can addect the rest of the UI, i'm just suggesting thing here
I'm using stylix for this so i cannot easily modify the theme myself
PS: the theme is not modified between this repo and my pc, that's why i'm reporting this here

I thought it was [something wrong with helix install](see also helix-editor/helix#5309), but looks like numerous upstream themes have this issue too helix-editor/helix#3842 (including default theme).

this seems to be refered to as highlighting for the primary cursor

Helix has introduced in 24.03 version a new jump mode and the themes need to be updated to work properly.

For example, base16-google-dark looks like below when jump mode is enabled through gw shortcut

where you can see that the labels maintain the same color (green) as the normal text.

I suggest adding the following line:

"ui.virtual.jump-label" = { fg = "base0A", modifiers = ["bold"] }
or
"ui.virtual.jump-label" = { fg = "base0D", modifiers = ["bold"] }

which would make the theme to look like this (with base0A):

Other "random" themes would look like this:

base16-dracula

base16-embers-light

base16-catppuccin-mocha

base16-tomorrow-night-eighties

Though feel free to use whatever other color combination you may find better looking :)

Hi,
I noticed that none of these base16 themes highlight the buffer selected in the bufferline, making them not suitable when working in helix and multiple buffers at once.

Screenshot where you can see the bufferline at the top and no way how to distinguish the active one

Below any other theme which shows it

Could you please have a look at it?
