Hi guys, first of all great job and thanks for bringing Send back to life. I've recently included it in our list of File Sharing and Synchronizating. I'm not a developer, but I'm curious to find out if it would be possible, viable and realistic to include the VirusTotal API after users upload files to an instance:

This would fight the malware problem. Since the free API is limited, it's worth considering to include a simple premium model in Send in order for hosters to pay for the API etc.

For any files I uploaded to this site, if I protected it with a password at the time of uploading, the file will be reject for downloading with an Incorrect password error. Files uploaded without password protection worked fine though.

Consider setting up something like Upptime (https://github.com/upptime/upptime) to automatically show the historic reliability (e.g. the uptime percentage) of all the public Send instances listed on the README, similar to how the server version is currently shown with a badge. Upptime specifically does the checking entirely with GitHub Actions, so it seemed like it could be a good choice for this, but there are of course many online services such as Uptime Robot that have an API and could potentially be used instead.

Anyway, this would allow users to make a more informed choice when selecting which Send instance to use with your ffsend CLI or my "FileLink provider for Send" add-on. It could also allow you to more quickly remove any dead instances from the list (#30).

Consider showing the server location of all the public Send instances listed on the README. I have gotten several e-mails over the last couple of years asking where your send.vis.ee instance is located, so it seems this is something people want to know for privacy/security reasons. Instances closer to the user's location should also be faster when uploading and downloading files. I believe showing just the country name and/or flag would be acceptable for these users. For example, maybe something like "Netherlands 🇳🇱" for your instance.

There are of course many free Geolocation databases that could potentially be used to directly lookup the sever location, as well as online services such as Flagfox/Geotool or IP2Location. I would be happy to create a PR, but for accuracy, it probably would be best of this information was provided by the instance maintainers themselves, as some may be hosted behind a CDN such as Cloudflare that hide/obscure the actual server location.
