Time to get serious about Code Base

cuSDR:

"cuSDR" has a LOT of the Chirp Receiver code built, and it appears to be built
with great forethought. However, there appear to be several short-comings at
present.
  * Receive Path audio stream back to the PC may not be fully implemented. However it's possible to listen via Hermes Audio Out port. (this must be completed)
  * Transmit Path may not be implemented at all at this point.
  * Chirp Mode has been disabled due to many changes in the last revision published.

So this is a substantial set-back for use of cuSDR as a code base.

Need to decide on a software defined Radio

NW0W to purchase and begin testing use of the Hermes SDR or the Apache-Labs
"ANAN-100D"

Anan-100D isn't due out until March. It also employs a 100w amp and bandpass
filters.

These are things we MAY NOT desire initially. The upside to the Anan-100D is
that it will include the Cyclone IV FPGA with ability to load and use software
cores. It's based on the ANGELIA board. And advanced version of Hermes.

SPEC:

* 100W RD100HHF1 Based 160M - 6M rugged Linear amplifier
* Combination of 7 LPF and 5 HPF Banks for front end Filtering (User
Configurable as well)
* 6M  LNA
* Dual Phase Synchronous LTC2208 16 Bit ADCs, additional third ADC via
daughterboard
* Large 115K (EP4CE115) Cyclone IV FPGA
* Supports 7 High performance Independent Receivers on a single ADC
* Supports 2 Coherent Receivers using independent ADCs/antennas for beam
forming/diversity
* reception (expandable to 3 Coherent Receivers using the coming daughterboard)
* FPGA has enough space to add on multiple soft core processors for standalone
operation
* Onboard 128MB Flash
* Onboard 32Mbit Synchronous RAM

There is no way currently to switch the ZX80-DR230+ lo power switches.

In talking with VK3OE it may be possible to simply add a 10v-12v Zener in
series with J1 of the Pin Driver to drop the voltage down to about +5v. As
well as adding a 1k Ohm resistor in parallel.

Then setup the lo-power TX TR in reverse of the lo-power RX TR so that
everything goes to ground to switch to TX from RX on a single line back to
Hermes.
