App will not allow me to change song on fitbit versa

Every time I press the Spotify icon on my Fitbit it doesn’t open up and I have logged in through my Fitbit app and still nothing happened how do I resolve this ?

It would be nice if spotify HR was available on Ionic as well, as there's no suitable alternative to it at the moment and it would be useful to many people

The buttons work to change songs but the screen just says "loading" with the spotify logo and that's it

I signed in through the Fitbit app to Spotify and accidentally used my husband’s account instead of mine. Stupid, I know. Now I cannot reset it at all. I’ve logged out, removed the app, removed the FitBit, reset everything. Every time I retry it the app automatically defaults to my husband’s Spotify account. This sucks.

I believe it is because the sign in for my account is linked to a Canadian account. Ensured my login works fine through web browser/spotify app.

I'm logged in to a spotify account I dont use and Spotify HR will not let me switch accounts. I've tried logging out on all devices my old account is logged into and still no luck. What can I do as an alternative?

My watch somehow wants to conect t i think but it Always says No active device found Please open Spotify on your device..….

I have logged into Spotify but my Fitbit says “no active device found” and asks that I open Spotify but I have Spotify open and it’s not connecting

When I first installed the app, I accidentally signed in with an old Spotify account that wasn't working on my Versa Lite. I wanted to change it to my current Spotify account and I tried uninstalling the app, cleaning my cache partition on my phone and even cleaning my fifbit cache, but when I click on the app to login, it still shows the original address I signed into with. Is there a way I can fix this so I can change my login for this app?

I have downloaded the Spotify HR for my versa. I own a Samsung Galaxy S10. I have followed all the steps of opening both the Fitbit app and Spotify app and keep getting the same error message. I have even uninstalled then reinstalled the app and also restarted my versa. No fix. I see that many have wrote about this issue but it has not been acknowledged or answered by the developer. Please help

Hey mate, is this the same version you showed us at the pub? I thought the playlist menu looked different and was an actual scrolling list.

I realise manually syncing Git and Fitbit Studio is annoying. I'm working on something to ease that ;)

I have a Fitbit Versa... and it says that it's still connecting so I left it for over 5 minutes and it's still not connecting. I have Bluetooth on, WIFI connected, Spotify on and opened, Fitbit app open, and I synced it multiple times to the Fitbit app, but still nothing. I need help because I don't know what to do anymore.

I cant get my fitbit app to stop updating Spotify. it's been "loading" for days now. I factory reset my versa a couple weeks ago because of a different issue. Now it wont stop loading. I cant delete it. I want to delete it so I can redownload it. Help please.

Hi, I'm planning to implement a fitbit music player application for fitbit device, but can not find any related API in official documentations.
And noticed your application on app gallery.
Just wondering, if spotify-hr is just a controller? or it can play music through fitbit device without the phone?

As with other users, I am logged in on my Fitbit app and on my Spotify acct. The darn thing never leads. The question I have is: why does my Spotify hr log me in automatically, so I can't double check that I have the same password? I have tried many times over various days.

Not a bug but a feature. It would be nice to be able to set what the hard buttons do. For instance, I would like then to control the volume.

How do I fix this issue without having to have Spotify open on my phone?

Trying to log out from Spotify and login with another account. However when I log out and click login, it automatically logs me in with my old accout that i logged out from.

When I activate Spotify, I can see the song that is playing on the Fitbit app, but the controls don’t work. They are grayed out and there is no response when I touch them.

I need to change the login account from Facebook to my email. When I log out is not giving me different ways to login. I reinstalled the app but still just uses the initial acount

The app is automatically logging into my husband's Spotify acct for some reason and it's not giving me the option to log in with my info.

Can’t get app to log in to Spotify. Have tried uninstalling and reinstalling app, restarting Fitbit versa, logging out of Spotify website and iPhone app before signing in via this app. I’ve also tried changing my Spotify password and verifying that it worked through website and iPhone app. I’m out of ideas.

I have trouble shot this over and over. No active device found open in the app. I have opened spotify and fitbit. I have even force stopped fitbit and reloaded still the same error message! Why have an app if its not going to work?!?@

I’m using the app on a brand new (received it last Friday) Versa Special Edition connected to an iPhone XR.

I already have Spotify HR setup on the bottom right button.

So I start the app and tap on the heart and the shuffle icon appears. All the remote controls work and every once in while the app seems to choose a song from (maybe like it’s skipping songs really fast). So far so good.

So I leave on and start doing something else while the music plays. If I frequently look at the watch, I see Spotify HR. But if I don’t look for a while, when I look I’m back at the clock face, i.e. Spotify HR quit or crashed while I’m not looking.

My versa connects to my phone and account as the song shows up on the watch but it won’t control playlist. Can we get this sorted please if it’s something I’m doing wrong I’d like to know pretty quick. Thanks

The app worked great for a day. Unfortunately, it is now stuck on the loading screen and doesn't work. I tried rebooting my phone, Fitbit, and reinstalling the app. I also have a premium spotify account

I have installed the HR Spotify application on my Fitbit ionic and well it isn't really working. After clicking on the app, my watch won't react for a few seconds, afterwards it will show the HR for Spotify in the middle, and then it will close again.

Heyo, I'm using Spotify HR and none of the controls will work. I can't edit volume, switch playlists, use the player, and the heart rate shuffle won't work, either. I am properly logged in to Spotify, by the way, and it reads my music, but other than that, nothing works.

I downloaded Spotify HR but can't use it..
I tried to login from the smartphone but it didn't ask for login details, it logged me in as "null".
I then opened the app from the Versa, while playing Spotify on the smartphone, and it only displays "No active device found. Please open Spotify on your device."
If I navigate to "Choose Playlist", I see the main one as "Unknown" but the top and bottom ones are actually my playstists. As soon as I touch the screen again, it goes back to "No active device found. etc..".
Could you please help with this issue?

EDIT: After restarting the Versa, it connected and does show the currently playing song, but still none of the controls work. I tried pausing, skipping tracks and changing playlists but nothing worked.

Hi Elliot. I have been trying to find a fitbit that has onboard GPS and able to store podcasts or audiobooks so u can go for a run and leave the phone home. I finally found it, Ionic, but u can't pause rewind FF or find place where you left off on podcasts or audio books. Can you imagine starting A book from the beginning every time you go for a run? A garmin can and an apple watch can but they are so expensive and u would need a apple phone too. People been asking fitbit for this for over 4 years!!
I don't know how much work this is or how long it would take. But you would have the entire fitbit market if you made it. And if u r into podcasts or audiobooks, those people would be willing to pay for it. Please let me know if this is possible. I would be willing to advertise it far and wide for you too! It would only be needed for those fitbits that can store music. Thank you. Moira
