Seemed to give me a blank save when I converted it. Tried changing the extension myself and worked fine.

I put the .4gs file in and then it says no file chosen. I have tried safari, chrome, etc. idk what to do
I have a dsi modded with TwilightMenu++ and played Minish Cap gba on it, but the emulator twilight menu uses breaks at one specific room, so I can't finish the game. I've tried using the GBA EEPROM save fixer to make it able to run on open_agb_firm on 3ds, but it doesn't even read the save file on the 3ds and just makes a new one, and sometimes when it does read it, it just says the save files are corrupted, but they still work on my dsi. If you know anything about this kind of stuff please help me.
I don't know if I am missing a step or not but when I select my 4gs file it doesn't do anything. Im on iOS if that changes anything.
The .4gz file is not converted correctly to .sav.
Once converted, I opened it in pkhex and the boxes and party are not displayed
I used the 44670 emulator's Dropbox integration to upload my save file, and it uploaded a .4gz file.
For the web version of the converter, I gave it the .4gz file and it spit out a copy of it. Then I tried it with the executable and hit a Cannot infer save type
error. Can you reproduce?
I noticed that it specified 4gs file in the documentation and not 4gz. Is there a difference, if so what?
fyi the emulator version is 20230107
So I was transferring save files from 44VBA on my iphone to mGBA on my mac. It all worked perfectly first, but after I saved again in mGBA and tried to convert that new .sav file back to .4gs, 44VBA opened that file and told me that "The save file has been deleted". I even tried to convert that new .4gs file back to .sav, and now even mGBA is telling me that "The save file has been deleted".
I have tested with several other save files, and it turns out that they all worked fine after several conversions, but if I just take a save file and save once on mGBA, the conversion just won't work.
I know this sounds a lot like a mGBA issue, but this is just so weird so I just wanna know if you can do anything with this.

Assuming a save type of SRAM.

GBA game saves with identical .sav
file extensions can still have different "save types". The common save types are SRAM, Flash 512kb, Flash 1Mb, EEPROM 8kB, and EEPROM 512 bytes.
gbaconv supports all of these types except SRAM.
Putting in a .sav is just spitting out .sav rather than .srm, I see no option to change this.
In your readme it says it can do this.
