If map creator shares link to tool allow them to include a map credit & maybe link in top corner

Provide the ability to toggle overlays on player/mob icons on the maps.
The idea would be to create a set of icons to represent common status effects e.g.
That would then be drawn on top of the mob/player icon in question.
As an MVP allowing a user to cycle through the statues with middle click may be a good option.
It'd be great to have a few more default icons for common fantasy creates; dragons, goblins, gnome, slimes etc. Currently the project uses https://www.kenney.nl/ assets which are cc0 so may be a great starting point for some edits - or if some is talented enough custom icons your happy to make freely available would be very much appreciated!
Rather than click to clear, i'd be great to look at swapping to a drag/resize circle/square mechansim- ie. u click, drag the area you want to clear/fill, then release to apply it.

Rather than linking via url, could we allow dragging icons directly in to the picker?
Requirements:
Rather than using map url as a key, we should generate unqiue saves so maps can be reused with different presets.
User goes to map url with map id and other attr.
Map unique save id is generated and url is updated to encounter={Uid} - game is save keyed to UID
Go to encounter={Uid}
reloads map, go to map=url&players=bob makes new map
Add main menu with save/export encounter options.
Save:
Download map config json as {timestamp}.encounter
Reload:
Open .encounter
to load in existing map save.
