In order to check http access through captive portals, we would need to enahce our online check by:
-max-redirects with curl does not detect all CPs
-wget / uclient-fetch can not detect CPs
-pattern matching per host (e.g.: host = http://www.google.de, pattern = '<title>Google</title>')

in order to replace curl and safe its ~200kB disk space, uclient-fetch should be extended by an option to specify the interface to test

There are cases, where the router has Internet, but a connected client does not.
For example, because of an incorrectly configured dhcp config or because of certain firewall rules which apply to clients but not the router itself.
DynaPoint should try to address this by creating something like a virtual client.
