Deprecated functions from gtk are called.
GtkWidget is too generic: there are more precise objects such as GtkBox for hbox and vbox.

Add two more shapes: Z & N

I tried to resize the main window to full screen.
Then, tetrominos keep falling as if the main window has not been resized.
Acutally, they stop to fall before reaching the bottom of the main window.

every-time "new game" is pressed the speed is increased.

Once I finish a game (there is no possible action) and start a new one the animation is interrupted.

Expected:
The game should re-set and continue (500 ms animation).

Actual:
The game is re-set but with no animation. Input is still valid.

Possible cause: if (!new_shape()) return 0;

window should be centered, not realizable and bigger;
colors should be much more user friendly;
