htpasswd support comments with "#".
Could be nice to be able to disable/enable existing users.

Having empty or missing password file results in failure.

If the users don't want to put multiple users in the .htpass file created,It is not possible. It has the functions to add users and password but cant make a single entry file.

I tried to list the users existing with users and apply the pop method before adding the new entry for now but that didn't work either

Deprecation warning due to invalid escape sequences. Using raw strings or escaping them again helps in resolving this. Check https://github.com/asottile/pyupgrade/ for automatic fix of this.
