Recently trying to learn Docker and found your YouTube. Good stuff (and love the humor). I have setup my own pihole and it works but I got a message about updating it. Would you mind sharing your Docker file for it somewhere? I could not find it on Docker hub nor in this repository.

So I'm running this on ubuntu 20.04 and when I run pihole.sh I get this error.

After inspection of the logs, I see this.

I was able to install the thenetworkchuck_pihole docker on ubuntu with no issues, however when I tried installing it on RPi 3B+, I get the above error. I can install the original pihole no problem on the RPi, but then I don't have any automation.

Any thoughts?

Love your YouTube channel. I have learnt more about Docker from it in one video than hours of reading online.

Any chance you could update this script to use the latest version of Pihole?

When i set my DNS as my pihole's public ip(which is in cloud) it didn't work so when i took a look at it in pihole it says my pihole ip is 0.0.0.0. PLEASE HELP!!!

what is running on port 8080. I open a shell to the container and netstat -an shows nothing listening on port 8080. If it is not needed why is there a port forwarder in the startup script?

Ive got Ubuntu server 22.04.2 LTS up and running and ive followed all the steps from the youtube video on this but when i get to running the pihole.sh file it just dossen't like it at all! It keeps on repeating "cannot connect to the Docker daemon at unix:///var/run/docker.sock. Is the docker daemon running?"

I have no idea whats going on or what its trying to connect to so if anyone has any ideas it would be very helpful!

Any chance of publishing the Dockerfile for thenetworkchuck/networkchuck_pihole?

Someone else was asking to update the version of PiHole as well.
If this was published, I'm sure you'd even get merge requests for it.

Hay I'm trying to run this on a PI 4 running ubuntu server 20.04 64bit and I keep getting this error standard_init_linux.go:211: exec user process caused "exec format error"
