[Feature Suggestion] Better UI on the website.

The UI on the website has a very defaulty look to it which can possibly drive away some people.

Improve the UI, still keep it simple, but not as defaulty.

Possible alternatives -> Change the font to a monospace.

If you go ahead with this, can it be assigned to me?

Github redirecting me to thedev.id domain

Hello. I was making my portfolio website and I thought that .thedev.id domain would be cool. So I forked the repo and opened a pull request. I saw that the requests of many people haven't been merged so I closed the pull request and deleted the forked repo . I removed the custom domain from my repo and deleted the repo instantly. After a minute I created a new repo (with the same name) and now when I enter my domain name aaryan-192007.github.io it redirects me to aaryan.thedev.id and it says the this site is unreachable. How can I fix this because now I've already deleted the repo a couple of times and still it redirects to aaryan.thedev.id . Please help me I spent so much time making my porfolio website and I needed to host it

About the project's dns timely update

I would like to ask how the DNS resolution of the subdomain after the pull request is updated? Is it updated using the script by API with Cloudflare?

Dealing with Let’s Encrypt rate limits

I checked past issues. You don't seem to know the Let’s Encrypt rate limits:
https://letsencrypt.org/docs/rate-limits/

This means that SUBDOMAIN.thedev.id will limit the issuance or renewal of Let’s Encrypt certificates.
It is necessary to deal with this.

JS.ORG, which is well known as a similar service, is on the Public Suffix List. This makes Let’s Encrypt the same as ICANN Domains.
Or you need to submit to the rate limiting form.

ZeroSSL does not have this limitation, but the web service recommended by thedev.id does not seem to provide it.

Domain Remove

Can you remove my site from the thedev.id domain list thing pls...

REMOVING RECORDS THAT RESOLVE A 404!

Any sites that no longer exist/resolve a 404 status, will be removed. If you fix this issue you can resubmit.
If you have any questions or concerns feel free to reply here or start a new issue.

That is all, have a good one people :)

Didnt merge!

op-bot.thedev.id is improperly configured
Domain's DNS record could not be retrieved. For more information, see Learn more (InvalidDNSError). We recommend you change this to a CNAME record pointing to tajumodding.github.io.

Bug in gh actions/workflows

There seems to be a problem during the execution of the repo's DNS workflow, failing almost 70% of the time.

Stack trace from the latest workflow:

Stack trace:
#0 /home/runner/work/thedev.id/thedev.id/vendor/webmozart/assert/src/Assert.php(581): Mailgun\Assert::reportInvalidArgument()
#1 /home/runner/work/thedev.id/thedev.id/vendor/mailgun/mailgun-php/src/Api/Message.php(41): Webmozart\Assert\Assert::notEmpty()
#2 /home/runner/work/thedev.id/thedev.id/dns.php(35): Mailgun\Api\Message->send()
#3 /home/runner/work/thedev.id/thedev.id/dns.php(81): send_mail()

From the above stack trace this failure seems to be caused whenever you are trying to send an email to someone using mailgun's send function $mg -> messages() -> send($domain, $param) for a subdomain whose status != 200.

From reading your code, I think its the repository secrets thats causing it.
I'd suggest you to update these secrets:

  • MAIL_FROM
  • MAIL_TO

and check for the validity of this environment variable:

If I can be of any help then let me know

Redirecting to https without https support

I just got a domain kaleko.thedev.id, but when I went to use it it it redirected me to https. The problem here is the domain does not support https. Has a certificate just not been issued, or is there none? If not is there a way to disable this like with js.org?

An alternative to CNAME other than GitHub Pages

You are currently asked to link to the CNAME file to make sure it is set up correctly for the registration process. But it's only used by GitHub Pages.
Other web services, VPS, etc. do not generate a CNAME file. But some people want to use them:

You should have experienced Netlify in the past.

In this case, you'll need information that you can see instead of CNAME.
What would we users ideally offer you?

By including the CNAME value in that case, you will understand which web service you want to link with as an administrator.

Please note that we do not provide a CNAME as we do not have this procedure in the README. This will need to be added:
https://github.com/fransallen/thedev.id#readme

Sub Domain SSL is Invalid

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
This is not a feature request. I know if thedev.id domain has support for SSL but the problem is that certificate was already invalid or not registered to subdomain.

Describe the solution you'd like
I don't know if let's encrypt support for wilcard subdomain or maybe you have to register it manually.

Thanks.

No SSL Certificate.

Recently added site link isn't hosted on https as the others and doesn't have SSL certificate.
