HiddenGemsMentorship
Welcome to the HiddenGemsMentorship App
A simple Single Page Application web application created using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frontend that communicates with a backend API built with Ruby on Rails. This app allows users to sign up to be a mentor in a work environment.
This project was created as part of the Flatiron School's Online Web Developer program.
Installation

Clone this repo to you local drive by running `git clone https://github.com/thedanielleellis/HiddenGemsMentorship, then cd into the cloned folder.

Open folder using you preferred text editor, run $ bundle install in your terminal to install the gem dependencies. Note: There may be cases where you will have to update the dependencies.

Locally run a server using the rails command "rails server" which will create a localhost:3000 port. Open this port in your preferred internet browser

Open frontend using the command "open index.html"
After checking out the repo, run bundle install to install dependencies. For advance users, You can also run rails -s in your terminal to locally experiment with objects and your migrations in the database using rails sandbox.
