currently when navigating to https://www.caniusevia.com/ on desktop, the website loads with large empty div that pushes all the content down out of initial viewport

Primary cause

when the below div is rendered before the main content div this error occurs

removing this <div style="position: static !important;"></div> , as it does not seem to break styling functionally on desktop
or set div to load after main content div is loaded in

Tested Device:

Intel MBP 16 2019
Resolution 2560 x 1440 non Retina display (also occurs on retina displays)
Browser: Chrome Version 104.0.5112.101 (Official Build) (x86_64)

Previously the website linked to https://github.com/the-via/releases/releases/latest for users to be able to download the desktop app of VIA. This option is no longer shown.

With this issue I would like to propose adding a button that links to that page again so that people who do not want to or can use the web version still have an easy way to get the desktop version of the application.

This might be the wrong repository to raise this issue against. If so my apologies for this, please move the request if you are able to.

QMK Firmware supports macros with macro record functionality. The VIA website appears to only support hardcoded/predefined macros.

Are you able to implement the required functionality for qmk macro record functionality?

Getting the following error when I try to visit the website https://caniusevia.com/docs/download_firmware/ (also tried a few different page URL's):

Other websites are working fine.

Tried the same URL in regular Chrome (Version 83.0.4103.106) and it did load.

Therefore, this might be something to investigate and possibly get ahead of, since the Canary version becomes the regular version in not too long.

Hi guys, I was visiting the page, and I didn't find any text explaining what is VIA.
The main 3 links are for download, check compatibility and see the docs, but in the docs it doesn't explain what this is !
Can someone add a quick explanation for the lost souls ?
Not everyone that comes here are experts.
I bought a Lily58 and the guy that built it for me said "go to VIA page", and came here but I don't understand if this is an alternative to QMK, or an interface for QMK, or what ?
Some help for the next person that comes to the website would be very warm and appreciated !

For example, you can download firmware for an XD87HS, but it isn't listed as supported?

It looks like there are keyboards missing from https://www.caniusevia.com/docs/download_firmware
The last one I see is "mysticworks_wyvern_via.hex" but it is for example not showing any Rama keyboards such as the Rama Kara. Tried with both Chrome and Edge.

I guess this is related how you get the list of firmware files from Github, might be capped to 1000 entries, since https://github.com/the-via/firmware/ shows a message at the top: " Sorry, we had to truncate this directory to 1,000 files. 533 entries were omitted from the list." - and it also ends with the same keyboard mysticworks_wyvern_via.hex

I cannot open https://www.caniusevia.com/ because of a redirection error. In the Network tab it says: NS_ERROR_REDIRECT_LOOP

reviung_reviung34_via.hex from https://www.caniusevia.com/docs/download_firmware does not work properly. VIA configurator cannot detect Reviung34 keyboard and keyboard layout is missing not working either. "Reviung 34 Split v1"
